So Haider told me to wear satin, Isabel told me to wear pumps, and Ricardo told me to wear this jacket. And there's already a lot of color blocking going on so I decided to wear black. That's basically why I wore this outfit. Genius.

The backyard bbq dress is something I've been obsessed with for quite a while. This 6 Shore Road dress caught my eye. I'm diggin' the Lover esque vibe. And of course, the spaghetti straps.

Photographers: Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin
Stylist: Emmanuelle Alt

Since the weather has been absolutely miserable. I thought I'd post one of my favorite editorials by Inez & Vinoodh. I'm all about simple styling. A hot girl, a beautiful location, almost no accessories, and lots of bare skin sounds perfect to me.

H&M is sending me to Coachella!!
Cannot wait to wear absolutely nothing in the desert. Although sweating is sort of sexier in concept.

the track, the train, the traveler

Isaac Rentz's art installation for Native Son as part of their presentation at NYC Fashion Week 2011.

The Track. The Train. The Traveler. Equal parts documentary and social experiment, the 15-minute piece focuses on three subjects (a carpenter, an artist, and a filmmaker) confined to a sealed 10-by-16-foot room for a total of 36 hours as a commentary on the social and creative process of creating an idea or environment that others have to inhabit.

Great stuff. So glad I got to see this in person. I'm really into the creative process right now. Experimenting with the different ways content can be published and still look... cool.

yours to keep

Check out Vogue Girl Japan this month for a story on the World's Most Influential Asian Bloggers. And if you're from the Bay, check out San Francisco Magazine for my so-awesome-it's-so-long feature. No complaints here.

I'm not sure when I said, "sometimes the things I think are funny, aren't actually that funny." But it sounds like something I would say. We wanted to use the pink milk flavor, but decided that, even though it looked better, it tasted gross. I follow way too many 15-year-old girls on Tumblr. Specifically, the ones who make gifs of themselves drinking pink milk on their web cam.

one man two women

1. Johnny and Kate
2. Johnny and Winona

I wonder if he runs into these girls at parties. I wonder if he runs into one of these girls at a party at a loft at 550 Sutter at 2AM on a Friday night with a bottle of Grey Goose and stands awkwardly next to her the entire time even though the last thing she texted him was something like, "I wish I had never met you." And she meant it.

Oh sorry, I started talking about myself again.

japan

Looking through images from this past weekend made me cry. Japan is very generous to other countries around the world (especially the US) in times of tragedy. So please help by donating to Red Cross.

**A scary thought, the same thing is predicted to happen in San Francisco.

haider ackermann revisited

Haider Ackermann SS11

Full dress here.

This is the second dress I've posted from this collection. I feel instinctually drawn to stringy black dresses in super slinky fabric. Perhaps because... NO ONE SEEMS TO MAKE THIS. Which is frustrating, to say the least. I'm trying to go in a slightly different direction. And when I say different, I mean slutty.

Clothes: Urban 1972 shirt, American Apparel skirt, Nixon watch, Chloe boots

These are the outtakes from my shoot for San Francisco Magazine. The issue is out now.

It was an amazing experience collaborating with friends. Really, they're so so so talented. We shot this in my bedroom, in case you're wondering, last month. The article is written by Franklin Melendez, he also profiled Terence Koh, one of my favorite artists. I haven't seen the spread in person. But I've been told it's pretty good. ;)
