Reiss Daria clutch courtesy of Reiss, Margiela bracelet, Chanel lipstick in Enthusiast

Happy New Year!!! My resolution this year is to get fancy. I'm pretty low key when it comes to clothes. A tried and true California girl. Yes, that's my carrot juice in a Coke cup from Taqueria Cancún. Remnants of Christmas in San Francisco. I want to make an effort to wear nicer things. Not tacky. Just like... a nicer, shinier version of myself.

I've partnered with Reiss to give away my version of nice and shiny. The Reiss Daria clutch (retails $245) is definitely the fanciest thing that's come into my life. That, and a certain black on black Phantom for those who've been following my Instagram.

To enter to win this beauty, simply check out the Holiday Sale and leave your name, email, and a message telling me how you will wear your fancy new clutch. No really, I need ideas.

This contest is open to those in the US & Europe. I will choose a winner on January 19. Good luck!

OMFG. This clutch is so gorgeous and easy-match-with-every-outfits! From fancy "sexy cocktail dress" to casual look "skinny jean with v neck tee" can totally rock this clutch. I would love to mix & match and build up my own individualism with this gorgeous clutch.

Thank u ^^

is that a watch band minus the watch? i dig, its got the class of a nice watch without the embarassment of spending a full 30 seconds reading the roman numerals when people ask you what time it is.

Since it's winter I'd pair it with some nice minimalistic coat, tight pants cropped at the ankles, white button up shirt and killer heels. Pretty simple outfit.

I would wear the clutch with the 'jersey dress' one size too big (as long as we're pretending here, i'm going to believe the version of the dress i would wear it in is white) belted above the waist with the 'tubular leather belt', gold jewelry, and black combat boots. also, for make-up i'd go for a bit of nice silver/white highly pigmented eye shadow (blanc/white frost pigmented eye shadow from MAC would suffice) along with the usual eyeliner.

I'd love to wear this with a nice flowy white wrap dress, and a black structured blazer. I'd accent it with red nail polish and a classic red lip.

A dress or skirt with this clutch would be at best (maxi) too formal, at worst (mini) too Asian Girl Goes Clubbing. (Whatever happened to K-Town?) A nice pair of trousers, something like one of Phoebe Philo's 5 perfect pants, would be nice. With a simple, bright coloured cashmere sweater? Equipment silk shirt unbuttoned all the way like mid-90s Kate Moss? How's that for fancy? Pow!

I like the contrast of a hard, glossy clutch with a sweet, feminine-looking dress like this: http://www.reissonline.com/us/shop/womens/dresses/peacock/cream/. Add black tights, black ankle boots like these (http://67.215.227.235/images/p/n/d/SWED-WZ18_V1.jpg) and a leather motorcycle jacket. Finish with a bright red/orange nail polish for contrast (http://www.barneys.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-BNY-Site/default/Search-Show?q=lara's%20theme).

It's so pretty and sophisticated, I'd wanna balance it out with something playful. I'd wear an oversized blousy button up in a bright shade, like fuchsia, half tucked into a high rise pair of leather shorts. Knees down, I'd have on some vampish/ troublingly schoolgirlish platform maryjanes paired with dainty white socks.

I would wear this clutch sort of fancy. I don't really see it being carried dressed down.
I'd wear it with a sheer fuschia dress w/ a black x-back slip, blue velvet ankle boots, rhinestone earrings, and some gold (most likely, a cuff). Probably with my hair in a bun.

I would wear it with the Hailey shirt dress. I love white lately. The shirt dress would keep me feeling not too dressed up but still fancy with my fancy clutch. Head full of curls and a dangerously red lip color would really make the look I think.

If I was to go to a fancy party I´d wear my black Designer´s Remix Collection silk dress, probably black leather ankle boots, gold nailpolish and some nice simple gold jewellery. If I was going to a less fancy party I´d wear Filippa K skinny jeans, a sheer white blouse, leather ankle boots, simple gold jewellery and gold nailpolish (I´m sucker for that gold nailpolish, I´m not sure if I´ll ever get over it). Oh, and I´d put my hair on a low ponytail á la Van Noten, with a gold band.

I would wear the Reiss Daria Clutch with a all white suit and a neon green shirt. Footwear: metallic silver pumps. Lip color would be a coral and stud earrings.
The clutch would be a beautiful item to wear in the spring with my suit walking the streets in NYC.

jessica said...

With it's fine hard lines and glossy black enamel, it definitely needs some softer colors and textures to make it pop.

I'd probably pair it with a simple pair of black jean leggings and a loose, slouchy cream or soft pinkish button up blouse. If you're open to it, finish it off with a bold statement necklace that's maybe a hue of aquamarine or neon yellow. Keep the shoes subtle though so just a simple black pump (keeping it fancy!).

And then of course, the clutch!

hello,

the minimalistic yet fierce look is mine:

on top starts with cream-white Jasmeen draped top (http://www.reissonline.com/us/shop/womens/tops/jasmeen/cream/) tucked in a fitted black leather skirt (http://www.reissonline.com/us/shop/womens/skirts/missy/black/).

i would leave bare legs without stockings, to match with a pair of black sandals (http://www.reissonline.com/us/shop/womens/shoes/brigit/black/)

since it's a killer look, golden earrings would match to the whole outfit. but there's nothing available in sale. so i used my own vintage Christian Dior golden ear-clips.

I'd wear it with a kind of severely spiked silver bracelet, with a mish mash of some more silver, gold, and diamonds. Maybe glitter shoes because bedazzled things keep catching my eye lately. Something sheer for minimalism's sake, and I'd probably carry around a couple white and silver balloons for good measure, but you know, only in the right context as not to be considered crazy.
