I feel so out of touch with fashion lately. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like everything is so excessive and like... the mall. I'd really like to get back to the basics of dressing. And what attracted me to personal style and fashion in the first place. It doesn't have to be minimal. It could just be as simple as choosing a dress with a jacket. But the idea that you aren't trying to be anybody else except yourself. And don't be afraid to be more interesting than the clothes you wear or the parties you go to. After all, it's about telling a story.

Blogging is kind of weird. Words don't fill this space nearly as well as pictures. I guess the purpose of my tumblr is to have a place where I can organize my random thoughts. It's about boys, blogging, sometimes fashion, but most often Asian people. I vent on it too. Because I like the idea of compartmentalizing the different aspects of my life. And it just makes more sense. So if you ever wonder what that strawberry thing is on the right side... it's this.

It was one of those locations that could have easily turned into a tourist picture. Thankfully, neither of us are that cheesy. I was sort of compelled to throw up the peace sign and say "Honey, take a picture!" but alas, that was left on the Photoshop Lightroom cutting room floor. Anyways, it was nice to be near the water. In San Francisco, we don't go to the beach. We just sort of stand by the water.
This is the outfit I was originally going to wear on Friday night. But then this happened.
Horrifying.
