I always wear tights with shorts or dresses, because showing skin makes me uncomfortable.
However, I do get some strange glances, as though the sheer tights are somehow scandalous. This confuses me, because I am covering up my legs as opposed to exposing them. Any theories, readers, as to what these looks convey?

Yes to those drugstore tights. Drugstores are the perfect destination for anything you never knew you needed. I went into Walgreens for bandaids and came out $50 lighter, whoops.
