Forget Fruits

Let's get one thing clear. I hate that Gothic Lolita sh-t for women. When it comes to fashion in Japan, I think the men do it best. I scanned these pictures from Tune magazine. It's serious business over there.

This also proves that a Japanese man can wear anything a 13-year-old blogger can wear. Leopard print scarf? DONE.

The denim shirt.

The Native print knit.

Leather shorts LOLZ.

What I would like to be: a cowboy.

What I'm also into these days: clean and fresh.

Speaking of clean and fresh, I also scanned these "beauty" pages from last month's Nonno. I think they should really make an American version featuring Cole Mohr modeling 20 different hair cuts for my personal enjoyment... or something. Print isn't really like what it used to be.

I really wanted to do a couple of outfits posts but my camera has been occupied for the past several days doing stuff for other people. I should make up for lost time in the next day or two.

Don't diss fruits! I give anyone credit for stepping outside of the box, whether or not I'd wear that type of clothing or not.

^^It's not dissing fruits, it's just emphasizing your perspective. Don't take things so personally.

I love how these guys effortlessly pull of those crazy looks. I guess they couldnt if they weren't that skinny.

eh, i don't like these too much. it's almost too much of a good thing. i like the last one though, with the blue tote or whatever. the clean and fresh guy. his style is very european.

That first dude's outfit and the cowboy outfit are PERFECTION. I used to be obsessed with cowboys and while I'm not any more, I remain obsessed with the Southwest. You should go there sometime if you haven't already.

Amen.
The Lolita stuff is so juvenile
Great for halloween and nothing more.
I wish men in america could toughen up, quit prancing around in "slim fit" not quite tight jeans and button downs and polos and suits, and start dressing with style.
Dream. Come. True.

I agree! Lolita can be fantastic when done up right but men just do it better. Although I could have done without the leather shorts, ha ha.

not every girl in japan wears lolita, sheesh. i personally like fruits better than tune just because of the sheer number of variety, but i think both men and women dress equally well there.
